Who is

David D. Roberts is an American politician, author, entrepreneur, and historian from Oklahoma. In 2020, he founded Sooner Strategies, serving as CEO until 2022 when he became the Director of Development and External Relations for the Oklahoma Democratic Party. Roberts authored the "Political Campaign Playbook", drawing on his extensive experience, which began as a child working for Oklahoma's longest-serving elected official, Senator Gene Stipe. He gained prominence working on campaigns for notable figures such as Senators Blanche Lincoln and Barack Obama. After taking a step back from politics to care for his ailing grandmother, he returned to support Senator Constance Johnson’s campaign.

Born in 1985 in Poteau, Oklahoma, Roberts earned a full scholarship to Northeastern State University (NSU) where he was deeply involved in student organizations and leadership roles. He's received numerous accolades including the George W. Bush Volunteer Service Award. He studied Economic Development at the University of Oklahoma and is the current Political Director for the Oklahoma AFL-CIO, lobbying the legislature to advance the rights of workers.

Roberts has an extremely vibrant background in politics and government, he often remarks of the journeys beginning when he was only at 9 year old child, passing out campaign literature for Oklahoma state senator Gene Stipe, Oklahoma's longest serving elected official. While in high school he was elected as the National President of Business Professionals of America (BPA) following his state election to Oklahoma's precursor organization, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). Roberts began to gain notoriety as a political operative serving on high profile political campaigns including U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln, U.S. Congressman Mark Critz, and then-United States Senator Barack Obama’s campaign for President of the United States, the committee Obama for America.
